Injury Crash on US 41 in Slaughters, KY

Slaughters, KY (Webster County) - Tara Zachery age 21 of Sebree, KY was operating a 2003 Hyundai Elantra southbound on US 41. Shadonna Gibson age 21 of Slaughters, KY was operating a 1997 Plymouth Breeze northbound on US 41. Ms. Zachery's windows had iced-over and the sun was in her eyes. Ms. Zachery attempted to pull into a driveway to clean her windows and did not see Ms. Gibson approaching. Ms. Zachery turned into the path of Ms. Gibson and the two vehicles struck one another head-on. Ms. Gibson and her passenger, Jerry W. Gibson Jr. age 22 of Slaughters, KY, were transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Ms. Zachery was not injured. Ms. Zachery and Ms. Gibson were wearing seatbelts. Mr. Gibson was not wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Michael Dennis investigated the crash that occurred on January 10, 2007 at 7:35 a.m. The Sebree Volunteer Fire Department, Slaughters Volunteer Fire Department and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
