Injury Crash on KY 181 in Clifty, KY

Clifty, KY (Todd County) - Jerry W. Douglas age 58 of Jamestown, NC was operating a 2005 Saturn Vue southbound on KY 181. Timothy D. Ferrell age 39 of Elkton, KY was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck northbound on KY 181. Mr. Douglas lost control of his vehicle as it rounded a curve on the roadway. His vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck Mr. Ferrell's vehicle. Mr. Douglas was transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Ferrell sustained a minor injury to his left arm, but was not transported. The two passengers in Mr. Ferrell's vehicle, Troy Martin age 31 of Elkton, KY and Adam Williams age 21 of Clifty, KY, were not injured. It is not known if Mr. Douglas was wearing a seatbelt. All three subjects in the Silverado were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Craig Engler investigated the crash that occurred on January 5, 2007 at 8:20 a.m. The Todd County Sheriff's Department, Clifty Volunteer Fire Department and Todd County EMS assisted at the scene.
