An image of Melanie Want(Cadiz, KY) Melanie Want has returned home and is no longer missing. She was not injured and no foul play was suspected in her disappearance.

(Cadiz, KY) The Kentucky State Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a seventeen (17) year old female who has been missing from her Trigg County home since the day after Thanksgiving. Melanie Want (17) left her Kings Chapel Road home on November 23rd, after having a disagreement with her family. She has not been seen or heard from since. She is described as being a thin-build, white female, 5'8" in height, approximately 140 pounds, with shoulder-length blond hair and blue eyes.

It is unknown, at this time, if she left on foot or in a vehicle. Troopers with the Kentucky State Police and Deputies with the Trigg County Sheriff's Department have followed up on numerous leads, with negative results. She apparently took additional clothing items with her; however, she was last seen wearing pajamas.

The public is requested to look at the above photograph of this juvenile and contact police if you know her whereabouts, or any information concerning her disappearance. You may contact Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state) or the Trigg County Sheriff's Department at 270-522-8888.
