Injury Crash on US 45 North in Graves County

Date of News Release: 12/15/2007

(Graves County) - James W King of Mayfield, was traveling westbound on Ky 849 East and crossed US 45 North. Mr. King's vehicle slowed in the median before approaching the southbound lane of US 45 South, at that time Mr. King did not see the oncoming Unit 2 driven by Kenny Lee, traveling southbound on US 45. Mr. King's vehicle crossed into the path of Mr. Lee's vehicle and was struck in the rear passenger side of vehicle. Mr. King's vehicle came to final rest on the west side of US 45 after striking a roadway sign. Mr. King was transported by the Mayfield-Graves County EMS to Lourdes Hospital for minor injuries. Driver of Unit 2 and the passenger were both wearing seatbelts and sustained no injuries. Tpr Kyle Nall was assisted on scene by Tpr Trey Green, Mayfield-Graves County EMS, and West Viola Fire Dept First Responders.
