Injury Collision on Outland School Road in Calloway County

Date of News Release: 11/04/2007

(Mayfield, KY.) - Mr. Ray Gene Coursey Jr., was traveling southbound on Outland School Road when his vehicle, a 2005 Ford van, traveled off the right shoulder of the roadway striking a driveway culvert. Mr. Coursey's vehicle continued traveling southbound were it then struck a second culvert and overturned, coming to final rest on it's top. Mr .Coursey was transported to Murray/Calloway Hospital for multiple injuries sustained in the collision . Mr. Coursey was later flown to Vanderbilt Hospital by Air Evac. Mr. Coursey was wearing his seatbelt. The collision is being investigated by Trooper Weaver. Trooper Weaver was assisted on scene by Calloway County Sherriff's Office, Calloway Fire and Rescue, Murray Fire Department, and Murray/Calloway EMS.
