Missing Juvenile Located & David New Arrested

(BEAVER DAM, KY.) On September 24, 2007, troopers from Post 16 Henderson arrested David New at the Western Kentucky Travel Center near Beaver Dam. New was wanted for escaping from the KCI halfway house in Paducah on April 4, 2007. At approximately 12:20AM, Kentucky State Police Post 16 received a call advising a missing juvenile, Corrie Enix, was going to meet family members at the travel center which is located on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Ohio County. Enix had been missing from her Muhlenberg County home since September 7, 2007. According to the caller, Enix was in the company of David New. Trooper Brian McKinney and Ohio County Deputy Sheriff Adam Wright responded to the travel center where they located New and Enix. New was arrested on a Post One warrant for Escape 2nd Degree. He is currently being held in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. Additional charges are pending in Muhlenberg County. The escape investigation is continuing by Detective Dean Patterson.
