Derek Brown Located and Arrested in Graves County

(Mayfield, KY) - On September 22, 2007 at approximately 2:00pm Kentucky State Police received an anonymous tip that Derek Brown was with Pamela West at her residence located at 1345 SR 2205 in Mayfield. Trooper Thomas Clifton and Deputy Ben Natividad responded to that residence and made contact with Ms. West. Ms. West denied any knowledge of Derek Brown's whereabouts. After a brief search of the residence Derek Brown was located hiding under the bed in Ms. West's bedroom and was taken into custody.

During the search officers located some items of Drug Paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana in Ms. West's residence. Trooper Thomas Clifton took both into custody. Mr. Brown was charged with Driving on a DUI Suspended License 1st Offense, Failure of Owner to Maintain Insurance 1st Offense, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree, Speeding 25 mph or more above the limit, two counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense. Ms. West was charged with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension 2nd Degree, Harboring a Vicious Animal, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. Both were lodged in the Graves County Jail.

The investigation is continuing by Trooper Thomas Clifton.
