Graves County Man Arrested

(WATER VALLEY, KY.) Kentucky State Police investigators have arrested a Graves County man on multiple counts of Wanton Endangerment. On 07-15-07 at 12:15 A.M., Kentucky State Police Dispatch received a call from a residence on U.S. 45 South of Wingo reporting shots had been fired at them from a passing vehicle. Troopers and Graves County Deputies responded to the complaint and received information the shooter was Kenon Andrews, 24 of Water Valley. At approximately 1:00AM, Andrews was located at his residence on School Street in Water Valley. When troopers attempted to make contact with Andrews, he refused to cooperate and barricaded himself in the residence. Troopers and deputies secured the perimeter and evacuated surrounding homes.
At 4:05AM, Kentucky State Police Special Response Team was activated and responded to the scene. At 8:06AM Andrews exited the residence on his own and was taken in to custody without incident.
Andrews was arrested and charged with four counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, a Class D Felony. He was lodged in the Graves County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Brett Miller.
