Drug Arrest in Graves County

(Mayfield, KY) - Kentucky State Police observed a vehicle southbound on US 45 with only one headlight and Tpr. Nall initiated a traffic stop. Upon roadside interview of the driver, it was determined he was under the influence of methamphetamine. It was also discovered he had local misdemeanor warrants out of Graves County. During a search incident to arrest, Tpr. Nall discovered a plastic baggy contacing suspected methamphetamine. Assisting Tpr. Nall was Graves County Deputy Jeremy Prince and K-9 unit "Kilo". Kilo was then utilized to confirm that the suspected methamphetamine was in fact an illicit drug. Also during the search Tpr. Nall and Deputy Prince located a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Holmes was lodged in the Graves County jail and charged with One Headlight, Dui 1st Aggravated, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Maintain Insurance, and 3 warrants for failure to appear served for Graves County.
