Manufacturing Methamphetamine Arrest in Livingston County

Date of News Release: 05/22/2007

(Mayfield, KY) - Probation and Parole Officers and the Livingston County Sheriff Department arrived at 490 Gass Road, Ledbetter, KY to speak with Shawney Curry. When officers arrived they observed Stewart Dickerson on the front porch. Mr. Dickerson then quickly went inside his residence and out a back window into a nearby wooded area where he was later apprehended. The officers observed Mr. Dickerson throw a small box when he fled which was later recovered and was found to contain approximately 4 grams of Methamphetamine. Officers then noticed items used to manufacture Methamphetamine and smelled the odor of anhydrous ammonia. Kentucky State Police was called to assist with the handling of hazardous materials and the investigation. KSP officers found several items used for making Methamphetamine including approximately 5 gallons of anhydrous ammonia. Approximately 10 grams of marijuana and several items of paraphernalia were seized from inside the residence. Also seized was a 22 cal. semi-automatic rifle and security cameras that were monitoring the driveway. The investigation is continuing by Detective Michael Williams.

Stewart Lynn Dickerson was arrested on

  1. Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense
  2. Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense
  3. Knowingly Possessing Anhydrous Ammonia in an unapproved container.
  4. Tampering with Physical Evidence
  5. Marijuana Possession
  6. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense
  7. Flagrant Non-Support (McCracken Bench Warrant)

Shawnye Curry was arrested on

  1. Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense
  2. Marijuana Possession
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense

Both were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
