Injury Crash on KY 139 in Trigg County

Date of News Release: 03/06/2007

(Trigg County) - William Alexander was at the intersection of KY 139 and US Highway 68 attempting to cross US Highway 68 when he pulled into the path of Johnny Moore. Johnny Moore, unable to avoid the collision, struck William Alexander in the front drivers side portion of the vehicle. Johnny Moore then became engulfed in flames before coming to a final rest on the eastbound shoulder of US Highway 68. William Alexander rotated clockwise and came to final rest on the westbound shoulder of US Highway 68. Both drivers refused medical treatment on scene; however, William Alexander later sought medical treatment. Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, Trigg County Sheriff´s Department, EMS, Rescue Squad, and East Golden Pond Fire Department assisted Kentucky State Police on scene. US Highway 68 was shut down for approximately 2 hours.
