Injury Crash on KY 129 in Graves County

Date of News Release: 01/05/2007

(Graves County) - Anthony Wilson was traveling South on KY. 129, 1 mile North of KY. 129 when he met an oncoming vehicle crowding the centerline. Mr. Wilson was operating a 2000 Mack tractor pulling a trailer loaded with chicken feed. In an attempt to avoid impact, Mr. Wilson steered right and slipped off the shoulder of the roadway. The weight of the truck and soft shoulder caused the truck to immediately overturn onto the passenger side. Both lanes of KY. 129 were closed for approximately 3 hours while a crew from Pilgrims Pride offloaded the remaining chicken feed onto another truck and wrecker personnel removed the truck from the scene. Mr. Wilson, who was wearing his seatbelt, was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by private vehicle and treated for minor injuries. The Graves County Sheriff's Department, Cuba Fire Department and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement assisted state police at the scene. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Kyle Nall.
