Injury Crash on Jackson Purchase Parkway in Graves County

(Graves County) - Leo Allen JR was traveling South on the Jackson Purchase Parkway. He was operating a 2006 International tractor hauling a tanker loaded with latex. Allen apparently reached down for a CD causing him to run off the right side of the road. Allen overcorrected back left which caused the tractor and tanker to overturn. The rig came to rest driver's side down on the shoulder of the road. Allen, who was wearing his seatbelt, was transported to the Jackson Purchase Medical Center and treated for shoulder pain. Motorist traveling south on the Purchase Parkway may experience temporary delays this afternoon while the truck is being off-loaded and removed from the scene. Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, Kentucky EPA, Kentucky Dept. of Transportation, Graves Co. Rescue Squad and the Mayfield/Graves Co. EMS assisted state police at the scene.
