Criminal Arrest in Hancock County

(Henderson, KY) - Trooper Adam Hutchison stopped Richard M. Nall for failure to use turn signal and expired registration. Upon stopping, subject was asked to exit his vehicle and walk back to speak to the trooper. Mr. Nall began acting nervous and was patted down for weapons. When Mr. Nall was asked to empty his pockets he removed a pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine. He was instructed to put the pipe on the hood of the trooper's car but failed to comply. Mr. Nall resisted arrest and ran into a ditch throwing the pipe into the woods. Mr. Nall was apprehended and upon search of the vehicle a small baggie of powder cocaine was located. Lewisport Canine unit was able to locatedthe pipe in the woods.
Mr. Nall was charged with Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st offense (Cocaine), Drug Paraphernalia Law, Buy, Possess 1st Offense, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, No Registration Receipt, No Registration Plates, Operating Vehicle with Expired Operator's License, Failure to or Improper Signal. Mr. Nall was lodged in Breckinridge County Detention Center.
