Meth Lab Arrests in Union County

(Henderson, KY) - During the course of an investigation Kentucky State Police located an active meth lab. Trooper Eric Dilback and Sturgis Police Department officers responded to 474 Larue Road. When units arrived James Shirel was leaving the residence and getting into his truck. When units went to the truck they could smell a strong chemical smell coming from the bed. There they located an active meth lab. Upon obtaining a search warrant units searched the residence and located several items used in the process of manufacturing meth. All subjects were arrested and lodged in the Union County Detention Center. A juvenile was also charged and released to parents.

1. Jeremy A Brown age 26 of 6450 Cox Rd Ridgway, IL was charged with Unlawful Poss of Meth Precursor, 1st off, Manufacturing Meth 1st off, Poss Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor 1st
2. James R Shirel age 51 of 474 Larue Road, Sturgis, KY was charged with Unlawful Poss of Meth Precursor, 1st off, Manufacturing Meth 1st off, Poss Drug Paraphernalia, Knowingly Poss Anhydrous Ammonia other than Approved Container, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 1st
3. Stephen D Hayes age 25 of 114 W Wilson St Shawneetown, IL was charged with Unlawful Poss of Meth Precursor, 1st off, Manufacturing Meth 1st off, Poss Drug Paraphernalia, Knowingly Poss Anhydrous Ammonia other than Approved Container, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 1st
4. Shelly Dunk age 43 of 474 Larue Road, Sturgis, KY was charged with Unlawful Poss of Meth Precursor, 1st off, Manufacturing Meth 1st off, Poss Drug Paraphernalia, Knowingly Poss Anhydrous Ammonia other than Approved Container

All were lodged into the Union County Detention Center
