DUI Injury Collision on KY 54 in Daviess County

(Henderson, KY) - Steven A. Sutton, operating a 1986 Chevy Pickup, was travelling westbound on KY 54 approaching Collier Road. Barry W. Mattingly, operating a 2001 Ford F250, was travelling eastbound on KY 54 also approaching Collier Road. Mr. Sutton's vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Mr. Mattingly's vehicle head on. Mr. Sutton was trapped in his vehicle and was extricated by the Whitesville Fire & Rescue squad. He was later transported to Owensboro Medical Health Systems for treatment and admission to the hospital. The Mattingly's were transported to Owensboro Medical Health Systems where they were treated and released. There are charges pending against Mr. Sutton for Operating under the Influence and Operating on a Suspended Operators License.
