Injury Collision on US 41 in Henderson County

Date of News Release: 11/14/2007

(Henderson, KY) - Mr. Tommy E. Goldsberry of Tri-State Mechanical & Machinery LLC. was traveling northbound on US 41 between KY 425 and KY 136 in a Peterbilt tractor trailer. Mr. Goldsberry stated that the brakes locked up which caused him to lose control of his vehicle causing it to swerve into the southbound lane of traffic. Mr. Bernard Feltrop was traveling southbound on US 41 in a white 2004 Chevrolet when the Peterbilt tractor trailer swerved into his lane of traffic. When Mr. Feltrop swerved to avoid striking the tractor trailer head on, his vehicle lost traction sliding out of control. The vehicle slid sideways into the northbound lane of traffic and Mr. Feltrop's vehicle was struck on the passenger side by Mr. Pruitt who was traveling northbound on US 41 in a silver 2005 Honda. Mr. Feltrop's vehicle then slid outside the left shoulder of the roadway coming to final rest facing south. Mr. Feltrop was treated by Henderson County EMS at the scene and then transported to Methodist Hospital in Henderson for further examination of the lacerations on his face.
