DUI, Escape & Theft By Unlawful Taken Arrest in Henderson County

(Henderson, KY) - On Sunday, November 4, 2007, at approximately 02:10 a.m., Kentucky State Police responded to the 7000 block of Larue Road reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon the Troopers arrival, it was determined that the operator (Eric Shultzabarger) was under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Shultzabarger was placed under arrest. Mr. Shultzabarger managed to get the back window down and escape from the car. Mr. Shultzabarger fled the scene in an unknown direction leaving behind the pants he was wearing and one shoe. Approximately 4 hours later Mr. Shultzabarger was located at a friend's house in Broadview Subdivision where he was taken back into custody. Mr. Shultzabarger was charged with DUI 1st offense, Escape 3^rd, and Theft by unlawful taking under $300.00 in reference to the handcuffs that were not recovered.
