Fatal Collision on Clark Road in Daviess County

(Henderson, KY) - James C. Dant, operating a 2001 Ford Pickup truck, was traveling on Clark Road, direction of travel unknown. Mr. Dant's vehicle ran off the right side of the road, traveling approximately 170 ft. He then crossed back onto the road, traveled another 30 ft, before running into a 6 ft deep ditch then struck a large tree. The crash pinned the drivers' side of the vehicle against the tree.

Mr. Dant was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Daviess County Coroner, Jack Thayer. Mr. Dant was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Kentucky State Police is continuing the investigation.
