Injury Crash on US Highway 60 in Hancock County

(Henderson, KY) - Norman Leonard was operating a 1994 GMC and was westbound on US Highway 60 in the city limits of Lewisport. As Mr. Leonard's vehicle entered the city limits Tarren J. Powers was operating a 2001 Pontiac exited IGA parking lot onto US 60 directly in the path of Mr. Leonard's vehicle. Mr. Leonard was unable to avoid Ms. Powers' vehicle and struck her vehicle in the driver's side door. Ms. Power's vehicle skid across both lanes of traffic coming to final rest on the eastbound shoulder of the roadway. Ms. Powers was transported to OMHS with minor injures.
