Update to Fatal Crash on US 60 in Henderson County

(Henderson, KY) - Raymond E Pruiett Jr was traveling eastbound on US 60 in a 1996 Mercury. Henry A. Santos was traveling westbound on US 60 on a 2003 Honda Motorcycle. Christopher S. Murphy was traveling westbound on US 60 in a 1996 Chevrolet pickup behind Mr. Santos. Mr. Pruiett ran off the right shoulder of US 60 and over steered. He crossed the centerline striking Mr. Santos. Mr. Santos was wearing a helmet. Mr. Pruiett continued eastbound and struck Mr. Murphy in the westbound lane. Mr. Santos was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henderson County Deputy Coroner Ray Farmer. Mr. Pruiett was flown to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville. Mr. Murphy was not injured. The investigation is continuing. Kentucky State Police Reconstructionists will be on the scene next date making detailed measurements. The roadway will be open, however expect delays.

(Henderson, KY) - On Monday, April 30, 2007, the Kentucky State Police are currently investigating a 3 vehicle crash located near Reed on US 60 East of Henderson. The roadway is currently blocked. At this time personal information is not available. We will forward information as it becomes available. Please advise the motoring public that this area will be restricted until further notice.
