Fleeing Or Evading Police 2nd Degree Arrest

(Henderson, KY) - On 03/01/2007 at approximately 08:10, KSP Trooper Chris McKee attempted to stop a red 2006 Ford Focus operated by Eric Fuqua, for a speeding violation on US 41. Fuqua attempted to elude police by pulling into Thorton's on US 41 at Barrett Blvd. Trooper McKee followed Fuqua into the parking lot at which time Fuqua stepped out of the vehicle, but was ordered back into the vehicle by Trooper McKee. Fuqua fled on foot behind Thorton's and Trooper McKee pursued on foot. Fuqua was overtaken by Trooper McKee on Barrett Blvd and arrested. Investigation revealed that Fuqua was driving on a suspended license and had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in Muhlenberg County. Fuqua was lodged in the Henderson County Jail.
