Shooting Investigation in Monroe County

(Columbia, KY) - At approximately 5:30 Tuesday evening, the State Police in Columbia received a complaint of a shooting incident that occurred in the limits of Gamaliel on Napier Street.

James Netherton, age 51 and his 46 yr old brother, Timothy Netherton both of Gamaliel were shot after an altercation with neighbors. The Netherton"s were airlifted to the University of Vanderbilt hospital with non life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made pending grand jury presentation.

Investigation continues by Trooper Bobby Maxwell.
