Burglary 1st Degree & Attempted Rape 1st Degree Arrest in Monroe County

Date of News Release: 10/30/07

(Columbia, KY) - A 60 year old Monroe County Resident was arrested this morning @ 3 a.m. and charged with Burglary 1st degree and Attempted Rape 1st degree.

Joseph Gilliam of 141 Uncle John Road, Tompkinsvile was arrested by Det Tony Wells over an incident that occurred @ 10 p.m. on Monday October 29th. He broke into a house and attempted to rape a female resident there.

Gilliam was lodged in the Monroe County Jail.
