Fatal Crash on KY 3281 in Russell County

(Columbia, KY) - Japeth Miller, age 17 of Jamestown was traveling south on KY 3281 in a 1987 Nissan Pathfinder when he dropped off the shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected, and struck a culvert and a tree. Miller was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Miller's 17 yr old sister, Natasha Miller of Jamestown was a passenger in the vehicle. She was transported to the Russell County Hospital where she was later pronounced dead by Russell County Coroner, Larry Skaggs. Neither was wearing a seat belt.

Tpr. Woodrum was assisted at the scene by Tpr. Wendell Higginbotham, Deputy Clete McAninch with the Russell County Sheriff's Department, Jamestown Fire Department, South Russell Fire Department, and Russell County EMS.
