Update on Death Investigation

(Columbia, KY) - The Kentucky State Police investigation of the June 1st death of Columbia resident Billy Phillips while in police custody remains open and on-going at this time.

KSP is currently waiting for the completion of lab tests and autopsy results. Pursuant to KSP policy, after the results are received and the investigation completed, all available evidence will be submitted to the Commonwealth Attorney's Office for evaluation regarding a presentation before an Adair County Grand Jury .
