Fatal Crash on KY 76 in Adair County

(Columbia, KY) - Edith Goodin Adams age 51 of St. Petersburg, FL was traveling east on KY 76. Ms. Adams' vehicle left the roadway and overturned and struck a tree. Ms. Adams was belted and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Adair County Coroner Rick Wilson. A passenger in Ms. Adams' vehicle (Edwin V. Wilber age 43 of Knifley) was not belted and was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital. Mr. Wilber is listed in critical condition. Both occupants had to be extricated from the vehicle. Trooper Andy Olson is investigating the collision.
