Felony Arrest on a Louisa, KY Woman

(Ashland, KY) - The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have charged and arrested a Louisa resident on felony theft related charges after a lengthy investigation. An employee of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital reported the theft to the Kentucky State Police in May 2007 after a records check indicated one of their employees had fraudulently used the hospitals' credit card for personal gain. Monica Colvin of Louisa, KY was charged with the above stated offenses after she made over $16,000 dollars in credit card purchases at different merchants in Boyd, Greenup, and Lawrence Counties for personal gain. The offenses occurred over a 5-month period between October 2006 until March 2007.
This investigation was presented to the Grand Juries in each of the respective counties and the subsequent indictments were handed down. Additional charges are pending from Carter County.
