Drug Arrest in Boyd County

(Ashland, KY) - The Kentucky State Police are continuing their investigation after last night's (7/10/07) arrest of an Ashland native on drug related charges. Kentucky State Police received information, through a cooperating witness, of illegal drug activity at the residence of Curtis Combs of Johnson Avenue. Troopers arrived at the residence of Combs and after a subsequent search, located several marijuana plants as well as a large amount of processed marijuana. Troopers also discovered a small quantity of cocaine at the Comb's residence.

Combs was arrested and lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.

K-9 assets were used by Trooper Shawn Podunavac from DESI.

The case remains under investigation by Trooper Shane Goodall.
