Fire Investigation in Greenup County
Date of News Release: 06/13/2007
(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland is investigating a structure fire of a residence in Greenup County, KY that left four people injured as a result of the fire. The fire started around 1115 am this date (6/13/07) at the residence of Donnie and Janie Martin. Neighbors called into 911 reporting the fire and requested emergency services. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
The Martin's three-year-old twin daughter's were injured from the fire and were flown to Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio for their injuries. Donnie Martin was transported to Cabell-Huntington Hospital for injuries sustained from the fire where he was treated and released. Janie Martin was uninjured.
The investigation is continuing by Detectives Padgett and Carroll.
