Ashland KSP Post Troopers Receive Awards

(Ashland, KY) - Three troopers assigned to Kentucky State Police Post 14 in Ashland received honors at an awards ceremony held in Louisville on May 23.
Trooper Shane Goodall was named Trooper of the Year for the Ashland post. A native of Nitro, West Virginia, Goodall is an Ashland resident and a six-year KSP veteran. He is the son of Cheryl Goodall of Nitro, West Virginia.
Trooper Jim Goble and Trooper Jim Ryland received Citations for Bravery, which are bestowed on officers of the agency who perform acts of bravery without regard for personal risk to life or limb, of clear and obvious peril and clearly above and beyond the call or risk of ordinary duty.
Goble is a resident of Grayson, Ky. and a three-year KSP veteran.
Ryland is also a resident of Grayson, Ky. and a seven-year KSP veteran. A graduate of East Carter High School, he is the son of Charles Ryland of Grayson and Deborah Ryland of Huntington, West Virginia.
