KSP D.A.R.E Graduation for Olive Hill, Carter, and Upper Tygart Elementary

(Ashland, KY) - The 2007 DARE Graduation for Olive Hill, Carter, and Upper Tygart Elementary will be held at West Carter Middle School on May 29, 2007. The graduation will be from 9-11 am in the West Carter Middle School gymnasium.

Students will receive certificates for their completion in the 13 week DARE Program. Students have learned about the dangers of Alcohol, Marijuana, and Tobacco usage as well as an overview on school bullying and gang violence. There will be guest speakers at the graduation to include the Carter County Superintendent and Kentucky State Police Post 14 Commander.

The overall DARE essay winner from all three schools will read their DARE Report to all participants during graduation. There will also be a gift presented to each class essay winner.

Parents of the 5th Grade DARE graduates are invited to attend the graduation ceremony.
