William Shannon Hylton, age 32, of Culp Creek was arrested this date on charges of Cruelty to Animals 1st Degree.
Tony and Sherry Tharp notified Trooper Shane Copley reference to their K-9 being shot and killed. The dog was discovered lying on the roadway and the dog had suffered from a gunshot wound. Over the next few weeks, Trooper Copley conducted an extensive investigation and developed a suspect.
