Felony Arrest in Boyd County

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland are continuing their investigation following the arrest of an Ashland man on Tuesday. The investigation stemmed from information the Kentucky State Police received from the Federal Bureau of Investigation on December 12th, 2006. The information included the identity of Charles Waugh as containing illegal computer images of minors performing sexual acts.

Detectives from the Kentucky State Police in Ashland obtained and executed a search warrant on the suspect's residence in December 2006. Information obtained from evidence seized at the residence prompted detectives to obtain an additional search and arrest warrant for the suspect. The search warrant was executed by troopers this date and Charles Waugh was taken into custody without incident. He remains lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center on a 50,000 dollar bond.

Additional Charges are expected after case is presented to Grand Jury.
