Misdemeanor Arrest of Social Worker in Lawrence County

(Ashland, Ky) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland is continuing their investigation following the arrest of a Lawrence County Social Worker. Ruth J. Horn, age 32 of Louisa, KY was arrested at her residence on charges after she purchased and served alcohol for four underage females. The females range in ages 15-18 were given alcohol at the residence of Horn during a party on 1-27-07. Horn, a 5-year veteran of Division of Protection and Permanency (Social Services) resigned from her position this week following the arrest.

The incident remains under investigation by Detective Mark Padgett.
