Child Bitten By Dog in Knott County

Date of News Release: 09/28/2007

(Hazard, KY) - On 09/28/07 at approximately 09:12 a.m. Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a 911 call that a 3 year old child had been bitten by a dog in the Raven community of Knott County.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene to find that the family dog had bitten the child in the face. The child was air lifted to Cabel Huntington Hospital for medical treatment.

Kentucky State Police, Knott County Animal Control Officer, and The Knott County Health Department are investigating the incident.
