Infant Death Investigation and Arrest in Breathitt County

(Hazard, KY) - On September 21st, 2007 Detective Randy Combs, U/686 arrested a Breathitt County couple on an Indictment warrant returned by the Breathitt County Grand Jury earlier that day which charged the couple with the murder of their own 10 month old child.

Arrested were Karen R. Miller, age 24 & Robert Miller, age 33. The indictment came as the result of an investigation, which began on June 6th, 2007 when 10 month old Braxton Miller was brought to the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY and was pronounced dead.

The couple has been lodged in the Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville, KY.

Detective Randy Combs, U/686 is in charge of the investigation.
