Church Burglaries Arrest

(Hazard, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard has made two arrests in connection with the recent rash of church burglaries in Letcher, Knott & Perry Counties.
Detective Randy Comb arrested and charged Michael Wayne Slone, Age 31 of the Kite community of Knott County with Receiving Stolen Property Over $300.00 in connection with a piece of stolen property that was recovered from the Campbranch Tabernacle Pentecostal Church & The Mayking Church of Christ both in Letcher County. Also arrested was Ricky Dean Ashley , age 20 of the Busy community of Perry County who was also charged with one county of Receiving Stolen Property over $300.00 in connection with a piece of stolen property that was stolen from the Mayking Church of Christ.
The investigation into recent church burglaries remains open and Detective Randy Combs, U/686 is in charge of the investigation.
