Injury Crash on Hawk Creek Road in Laurel County, KY

(LONDON, KY.) - On Monday 09-17-2007 at 11:03 AM the Kentucky State Police Post 11 in London received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash, with injury, on Hawk Creek Road in Laurel County, KY. Upon arrival KSP Trooper Richie Baxter determined that a Green 1989 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck driven by L. V. Bowling, 64, of London went out of control, struck an metal outbuilding and then a house. The outbuilding, which sustained sever damage, and the house, which sustained light damage, are located at 3193 Hawk Creek Road and are the property of Brenda Smith. Bowling, who was not seat belted, was flown to the U. K. Medical Center in Lexington for treatment. Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the carsh. Trooper Baxter is continuing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Mike King, the Laurel County EMS, the Laurel County Rescue Squad and the Swiss Colony Fire Department.
