Death Investigation in Harlan County

(CHEVROLET, KY) On 8/09/2007 at 9:40 am, Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan received a call about a body of an unidentified male subject that was found in the Neff community of Harlan County by a Kentucky Utilities employee. The unidentified subject was apparently attempting to take copper wire from a KU utility pole and was electrocuted. The body has been sent to the Kentucky State Police Crime Lab in Frankfort for an autopsy and positive identification. Assisting at the scene was Trooper Jim Whitaker, Trooper Rob Farley and Harlan County Deputy Coroner Jim Rich. This case is still under investigation by Detective Tim Hensley Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
