Traffic detour on Eula Hall Highway, KY 979 in Floyd County, starts Friday

FLOYD COUNTY - Traffic on KY 979 in Floyd County, now named Eula Hall Highway, will be detoured between mile points 15 and 16 starting Friday, December 8. This is part of the ongoing Minnie to Harold Connector road work.

Mary Westfall-Holbrook, Construction Engineer for Highway District 12 of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, explained that traffic will be re-routed through the new roadway cut area that is almost four miles from US 23. The detour will go into effect at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 8. Holbrook urges motorists to drive carefully and more slowly than usual until they get used to the detour.
