Floyd County Man Found Beside Creek

Pikeville, KY-- On Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 12:42 pm EST, Post 9-Pikeville, received a call from a local resident advising that he had located a deceased white male lying beside the creek off of KY 3379, Branhams Creek Road, in the Galveston Community of Floyd County.

KSP Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene and located the body of Homer Hall of Branhams Creek. Floyd County Coroner pronounced Hall deceased at the scene.

KSP was assisted on the scene by Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement Officers and the Floyd County Sheriff's Office. An autopsy will be conducted by the State Medical Examiner in Frankfort.

Foul play has not been ruled out and the incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Detective Donnie Shearer.
