Fatal Crash in Pike County, KY

(Pikeville, KY) - James D. Thornsbury was operating a 1984 Ford LT 9000 Coal Truck owned by TBK Hauling when he exited the vehicle for unknown reasons while it was still in motion. Evidence indicates Mr. Thornsbury was run over by the vehicle which came to final rest down the hill from where he was located. Mr. Thornsbury was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Deputy Coroner Ernie Casebolt. The incident is still under investigation by Trooper Jason McLellan.
