Armed Robbery at the Family Drug in the Wheelwright, KY

(Pikeville, KY) - On January 5, 2006 at approximately 9:54 AM Kentucky State Police Post 9- Pikeville received a call regarding an Armed Robbery at the Family Drug in the Wheelwright community of Floyd County.

Three male subjects entered the Family Drug wearing hoods and scarves, brandishing various firearms. The suspects demanded money and drugs from the employees. After taking over $500.00 in cash and approximately 5,200 hydrocodone tablets, the suspects fled the scene in a white Hyundai Elantra with tinted windows.

The incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Detectives Eddie Crum and Joey Howard.
