Death Investigation of a Man Found in the Kentucky River

Date of News Release: 05/16/2006

(RICHMOND, KY) - On Saturday, May 13, 2006 at approximately 1703 hours, Kentucky State Police, Post 7, received a call regarding the body of a deceased male floating in the Kentucky River at the Madison / Fayette County line. Kentucky State Police and Madison County Rescue Squad personnel recovered the body of a white male. The body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for autopsy.

On May 16th, the deceased has been identified as Anthony Gene Crady, age 48, of Lawrenceburg KY. The body was identified by a thorough fingerprint analysis. An autopsy has been completed and results are pending a toxicology report. Mr. Crady was reported missing to Lexington Metro Police Department on 05/08/06. This case remains under investigation by Detective Michael Stotts u/743.
