Injury Crash on US 27 in Lincoln County, KY

(RICHMOND, KY) - Ann Upchurch was traveling south on US 27. Heather Highley was attempting to turn left from the Wal Mart parking lot onto US 27. The intersection has no traffic light. Ms. Highley's vehicle turned directly into the path of southbound Ms. Upchurch's vehicle.

Ms. Highley and passengers of Ms. Highley's vehicle were transported to Fort Logan Hospital by Lincoln County EMS and treated for minor injuries. Ms. Upchurch was flown by helicopter to the UK Medical Center.

US 27 was closed to thru traffic for approximately one hour. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Chris Damron.
