Murder Investigation in Henry County

(Henry County, KY)- On October 5th, 2006, KSP Post-05 Campbellsburg, received a "911" hang-up call at 7:49 am, from 178 Hill Haven outside of Campbellsburg, Ky. Post Dispatchers attempted to call the residence back, but didn't get an answer. At 7:50 am, another "911" call came in to Post, from the same residence, and the subject advised that there had been a shooting at that residence. Upon arrival, KSP units discovered a white male deceased at the residence. Jerry Flack, 45 yrs old, was detained and transported to Post. He has subsequently been charged in this homicide, and is being lodged at the Carroll County Regional Detention Center. The Henry County Coroner, Jimmy Pollard, pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim's has been identified as Mr. Richard R. Hood, age 41 of Campbellsburg, KY. Mr. Pollard has transported the victim to the Louisville Medical Examiners Office, where an autopsy will be performed. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges, if any, will be determined at a later date. Det. Todd Harwood is the chief investigating officer, with assistance from other KSP units and the Henry County Coroners Office.
