Death Investigation in Grayson County, KY

Date of News Release: 05/18/2006

(Elizabethtown, KY) - On Tuesday, 05-16-2006 at approximately 09:30 p.m., Kentucky State Police Detectives were contacted to investigate the death of Howard Milburn, white male, 58, of Custer, KY who was found dead in his residence located on High Plains Road in the Custer area.

On Wednesday, 05-17-2006, an autopsy was conducted by the Medical Examiners Office that revealed that Mr. Milburn died as a result of a closed head injury.

On Thursday, 05-18-2006, other evidence was recovered that led detectives to believe that Mr. Milburn was struck by a motor vehicle. It is believed that he was struck sometime between the times of 11:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15th, and 08:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16th. The injuries sustained by Mr. Milburn eventually lead to his death.
