Fatal Crash on I-65 Exit Ramp in Warren County

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - Rita Lawrence entered the exit ramp at an excessive speed, traveled onto the shoulder, & overcorrected causing the vehicle to cross the roadway & strike the guardrail. Impact with the guardrail caused the vehicle to travel back across the roadway, down a steep embankment, & overturn. The vehicle came to final rest upright. Rita Lawrence was trapped in the vehicle. Air EVAC was dispatched but Rita Lawrence was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers (Aarica and Richelle Lawrence) were transported via E.M.S. to the Medical Center at Bowling Green where they were treated for their injuries & released.
