Armed Robbery of a Chevron Station in Smiths Grove, KY

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - A single white male entered the Chevron in Smiths Grove wearing a hooded sweatshirt & a ski mask covering his face. He brandished a handgun at the clerk & forced him at gunpoint into the walk-in freezer at the rear of the store. Perpetrator returned to the front counter. He physically removed the cash box from underneath the lottery machine & exited the business. The clerk sustained no visible injuries & did not request medical attention. Investigation continues.
